His father is a retired bank officer and his mother is a teacher. Gaurav has one sister who is married and he is also married to a pilot Ritu.
Since childhood, he is interested in health, bodybuilding, and nutrition. His father had two dumbells that he used in his childhood and his school had a gym back then where he did gyming before school.

Gaurav Taneja has 3 YouTube channels FitMuscle TV, Rasbhari Ke Papa, and Flying Beast. FitMuscle TV is a channel on fitness and health while Rasbhari Ke Papa is a traveling vlog channel, and Flying Beast is a daily vlogging channel.
In 2011, he did training for an A320 type rating from CAE Madrid in Spain after that is joined as the first officer at Indigo. In 2014, he became a pilot at Indigo and joined Air Asia in 2019 in Delhi.
Gaurav came into the limelight after he raised the issue regarding the safety of pilots, passengers, and crew in AirAsia. After this, he is dismissed from his duty.
There are a lot of travel vloggers in India and Gaurav is one of them with a good subscribers list. He met Bollywood stars often which can be seen through his videos.

Controversy
In 2020, he was suspended from AirAsia after he gave the statement, “Air Asia is neglecting the safety measures which they have to take for the safety of their passengers, pilots, and the Aircraft”.

On 9 July 2022, Gaurav on his birthday is arrested by the Noida Police. His wife planned a surprise for his birthday by booking the entire metro. But the surprise went wrong when his fans or followers gathered to celebrate his birthday.
He is arrested for violating section 144 of CrPc. Now he is fine and with his family.
