Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 is the upcoming Hindi language comedy horror movie directed by Anees Bazmee. It is the sequel to the 2007s Bhool Bhulaiya starring Akshay Kumar.
The shooting of the movie Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 began on 9 October 2019 and it is scheduled to be released on 20 May 2022. It was going to release on 31 July 2021 but due to the Covid Pandemic, it was postponed.

Bhool Bhulaiyaa (2007)
It is a psychological horror-thriller directed by Priyadarshan which is the remake of the Malayalam movie Manichitrathazhu (1993). This movie is critically acclaimed and received big success at the box office.
Story
The story of the movie revolves around the character of Manjulika which actually a ghost. Badrinarayan Chaturvedi a brahmin has an ancestral palace in Rajasthan. It is believed that the palace is haunted. Sidharth Narayan Chaturvedi is the son of Badri’s elder brother comes with his archeologist wife Avni to the village from the United States.
They both started to live in the palace that was once occupied by Raja Vibhuti Narayan. Vibhuti Narayan likes a beautiful and exceptional dancer in his court. But Manjulika loves Shashidhar another dancer who lives behind her house and they both met secretly often.
The king got the news that both are planning to elope together so he called them to perform in the court one last time. In the end, when Shashidhar bowed his head the king beheaded him and locked Manjulika in the Jail. Manjulika hanged herself on the night of King’s marriage.
Manjulika pledged that her spirit will not allow any king to live in the palace. After the incident, King also died in unknown circumstances. With the help of powerful wizards, the ghost is locked up in the room on the third floor.
Avni started liking the palace and learns about Manjulika in depth. She opened the door of the room on the third floor. After that, unnatural events started taking place in the palace. Sidharth suspects Radha for all the events that’s why he called his friend Aditya from New York.
Aditya founds that Avni has dissociative identity disorder. Aditya triggers Manjulika’s personality in Avni and she promised that she left Avni’s body after killing the King. He made a plan that tricks Manjulika. On the day of Durgashtmi when Manjulika is on peek she killed the king but she actually killed the dummy at that time.
So in this way, Aditya cured Avni’s dissociative identity disorder. Everybody is pleased with Aditya. Aditya started to like the Badri’s adopted daughter and asked her that if she is agree then he will send his parents for marriage. She smiled and give her silent consent.

It will release on 20 May 2022 and the important point here to know is the story of the movie. Is there a new story or just represent the previous story in a different way?
As you see the old Bhool Bhuliyaa is exceptionally well. So you have a question in mind that then why Akshey Kumar is not in the movie. So according to the director of the movie, Kartik is good at comedy and he is childish on screen like Akshay.
