Nisha was born on 26 June 1984 in Mansa, Punjab. Bano completed her basic education at Yogesh Memorial Public School, Mansa. She has been very active in art and cultural activities since her school days. She belongs to a Sikh family and lives in Chandigarh.
For her graduation, she went to S.D. College, Mansa. She won many awards in Gidha during her college days. Apart from her acting and singing, she is very good at comedy.
She had done several plays and live shows along with Binnu Dhillon and Karamjit Anmol. Karamjit Anmol is her guru in singing and gave recommendations at many places to cast Bano in the movie. Karamjit Anmol and Binnu supported her in his struggling days.
