Firstly, Shark Tank India is an Indian business reality television series that airs on Sony Set TV India. It is the Indian version of the American show Shark Tank. In this show, the entrepreneurs pitch their business ideas to investors for investments. The Sharks decide whether to invest or not in the business or company based on their interest or business.

Secondly, The host of the show Shark Tank India is Ranvijay Singha. The show received 62000 aspirants from all over India out of which only 198 aspirants were selected to pitch their ideas.

UpGrad, South Asia’s largest high EdTech company, sponsored the show Shark Tank India which is aired on Sony TV.

Furthermore, In June 2022, Sony announced on its Twitter handle about Shark Tank India. It started its registration on the Sony Liv app or website to register click here.

Gazal Alagh

She was born on 02 Sep 1988 in Gurgaon, India, and completed his graduation from Punjab University. Gazal co-founded MamaEarth with her husband Varun Alagh. MamaEarth is the first Indian beauty brand that does not include toxic chemicals in its products. Gazal Alagh has wanted to be a businesswoman since his childhood.

Ashneer Grover

He is born in Delhi, India on 14 June 1982. Grover completed his studies at the Indian Institute of Technology in Delhi and the Indian Institute of Management in Ahmedabad. Ashneer Grover launched BharatPe in 2018 for local Kirana stores and it has more than 1 crore downloads now. He worked for many companies before launching BharatPe like Kotak Investment Bank, Grofers, PC Jewelers Limited, and American Express.

Peyush Bansal

He was born in New Delhi, India on April 26, 1985. Peyush Bansal is the founder and CEO of lenskart. He obtained his post-graduate degree from IIM Banglore and completed his graduation from McGill University Canada. Peyush Bansal launched the Lenskart store with co-founders Amit Chaudhary and Sumeet Kapahi in 2010.

Vineeta Singh

Indian entrepreneur Vineeta Singh was born in India in 1991. She completed her schooling at DPS, Delhi. She has two children Vikrant and Kaushik with her husband Kaushik Mukherji. Vineeta is the CEO of SUGAR cosmetics and became the co-founder of Fab Bag in 2012.

Aman Gupta

He was born in a Hindu family in 1982 in Delhi. Aman completed his schooling at DPS and graduated from Delhi University in commerce. He also completed his CA from ICAI. Aman Gupta partnered with Sameer Ashok Mehta to launch Boat’s parent company Image Marketing Services Private Limited in November 2013. The boat is one of the no 1 headset equipment models in India.

Anupam Mittal

He was born on 23 December 1971 in Mumbai, India. Anupam completed his post-graduation from Boston University and did his MBA in operations and strategic management in the academic year 1997-97. He is the founder and CEO of the People Group. Anupam Mittal founded saadi.com which was previously known as sagaai.com in 1997. He is a stakeholder in Ola Cabs too.

Namita Thapar

She is born in Pune, India on 21 March 1977. Namita married Vikas Thaper and has two sons named Vir Thaper and Jai Thaper. She completed her studies with ICAI as a Charter accountant and later completed his MBA from Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business. She joined Emcure as Chief Financial Officer and before that, she served for Guidant corporation in the USA.
