How to do a degree in architecture with Distance Education Or Correspondence after a diploma

Many of us do not know that we can do architecture study through distance education or correspondence. IIA(Indian Institute of Architects) provides architecture as a distance course. After completion of all examinations from IIA, you become the associate member of the Institute which is equivalent to B.Arch. The responsibility of all the examinations in IIA is of the Board Of Examinations(BOE). It takes exams twice a year.

However, you have done +2 or diploma in engineering you can enter into architecture with distance education. But you have to meet the eligibility conditions of IIA which are given below. To understand all the details read the post till the end.

Above all, the Plus point of architecture from IIA is that it is recognized Worldwide and in COA. To enter in IIA examination you have to clear the NATA test with at least 70 marks and it is compulsory. NATA means National Aptitude Test in Architecture and it is conducted twice a year.

Most importantly, the Ministry of Human resource development on 5th august 1992 recognized the associate membership of the Indian Institute of Architects at par with the Bachelor of Architecture for employment purposes under the central government in the appropriate field. The Council Of Architecture has approved the scheme of examination and syllabus and after completion, you are eligible for COA registration.

Important for you:

Firstly, It took four years for you to complete the architecture from IIA. There are four parts which you have to clear and you can only then take admission in part two after completion of part one.

Secondly, You should clear in mind why you are doing architecture because it took a minimum of four years and there is the possibility that you are not successful after that. So it should logical for you and you have to study hard because the path is not easy. There are always other options for you. It is important to make up your mind because our minds change frequently and it can possible that your mind tells you to leave the architecture in between.
