Sara’s mother is a Pediatrician(a medical practitioner specializing in children and diseases) and belongs to a well-known family. Anjali’s father Mr. Anand Mehta is a Gujrati Industrialist and her mother Annabel Mehta belongs of British Origin. Annabel is known for her NGO Apnalaya.
Apnalaya is the NGO that works for a better living standard for ragpickers and slums in Mumbai. Annabel is the inspiration of Sara Tendulkar, Sara ran in the race Apna Le Mumbai Marathon back in 2013 for raising funds for the NGO.
Sara Tendulkar is look-alike her mother and she can be seen at many Bollywood and Cricket events with her family. Her younger brother Arjun is an upcoming aspiring cricketer.

In 2018, a man Debkumar Maity confirmed to be in love with her from Bengal. He used to call on her house’s landline and threatened to kidnap her. But later he was arrested by Mumbai Police.
